NJRTL is issuing this statement to directly address the recent incessant and unfounded claims made by Mario Kranjac and his campaign, which unjustly attack the reputation and dedicated work of New Jersey Right to Life (NJRTL).
For over 50 years, NJRTL has tirelessly fought for the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death in New Jersey. We have been at the forefront of every pro-life battle in our state. Throughout this time, not a single member of our board had heard of, nor collaborated with, Mr. Kranjac on any pro-life initiatives. Until he decided to run for office, he never participated in any pro-life events, rallies, or banquets, nor did he attempt to fight alongside us or lend his support during our many legislative battles in Trenton. This lack of engagement raises serious questions about his proclaimed commitment to our cause.
Regrettably, Mr. Kranjac, who was recruited to enter the race by a small group with shared agendas—months after we had already endorsed Bill Spadea—has launched a relentless campaign of deceit, harassment, bullying, and intimidation against our organization in direct response to our support for Bill Spadea. These attacks, orchestrated by the candidate and his associates, are designed not only to tarnish our reputation but also to undermine our efforts and fracture the pro-life community for their own selfish interests. Such conduct reflects poorly on the character of those who claim to be pro-life.
Our endorsements are reserved for candidates who exhibit a true commitment to our values, such as Bill Spadea, who has completed our candidate questionnaire and meets every criteria for endorsement. Bill has been a steadfast ally in the pro-life movement for years and is fully prepared to champion pro-life policies and initiatives if elected governor. He understands the harsh realities of a legislature predominantly controlled by pro-abortion Democrats and, unlike his opponents, refrains from making empty promises that cannot be fulfilled.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we steadfastly pursue our mission to protect and promote life. We hope you will stand with us in rejecting these attacks against NJRTL and our movement.
