TRENTON, NJ — Biological men do not belong in women’s sports. While the majority of Americans support the recent actions Donald Trump has taken to protect women, at least one American disagrees: Jack Ciattarelli. Jack was in favor of allowing men in woman’s sports before it was cool. In fact, in 2015, Jack voted with the majority of Democrats to allow men to bludgeon girls in public, cheating them out of achieving scholarships and breaking their longstanding world records. This vote, more than any poll-tested statement, reveals Jack’s true convictions. He voted to strip women of their privacy and dignity by allowing men to simply and fraudulently change their legal gender on documents of record. The issue was one of the most significant in national news. His inability to run on the most important issues and staying in his “safe space” is not only his secret recipe for failure, but time has proven him wrong.
The Democrats didn’t need Jack’s vote to pass this legislation: he gave it freely. Not only did he proudly vote to permit gender-fraud, the vote was a virtue-signal, a loud statement of Jack’s values. Jack’s bet was spectacularly wrong. Not only did Jack’s vote land him on the wrong side of basic common sense, morality, and human decency, it has proven to land him on the wrong side of popular opinion and history.

In light of President Donald Trump’s recent executive order aimed at protecting girls’ sports, attention has turned to the legislative history of the former New Jersey State Assemblyman. Before Jack tries to deflect, he voted in favor of Assembly bill A-2659, which sought to allow individuals to change the gender designation on their birth certificates without undergoing gender reassignment surgery. This bill was ultimately vetoed. Senator Diane Allen, who was Jack Ciattarelli’s controversial selection for running mate in the 2021 gubernatorial race was the primary sponsor of the identical Senate Bill S-1195.
Critics argue that Ciattarelli’s selection of Allen as his lieutenant governor candidate and his voting record reflects a lack of alignment with conservative values on gender issues. “Choosing a running mate who sponsored legislation that could undermine the integrity of women’s sports raises serious questions about Ciattarelli’s commitment to protecting women and voting for the bill proves he has no discernible courage,” said Phil Rizzo, spokesman of Project 29:2. “We educate people on principles that make for a strong society and the scriptures are clear that violating biology hurts everyone, especially young girls.” Genesis 5:2 says: “Male and female created he them; and blessed them,“ Phil continued, “When we ignore biological differences we lose the natural blessing that comes from the created order.”
Ciattarelli’s positions are increasingly out-of-touch with the values of New Jersey residents, raising concerns about his ability to lead effectively on issues of gender. Americans are swinging heavy toward Common Sense and Trump enjoyed his most popular approval ratings for signing the EO, making it one of the most popular executive orders in the history of the United States. We are confident that Jack’s pollsters will soon discover the correct position on this issue, and Jack’s positions will change to courageously stand with the majority. That’s not leadership. Jack should be willing to defend his core convictions, even as it is becoming obvious that his beliefs are increasingly dangerous and unpopular. Rizzo draws the conclusion, “Ciatarelli’s decision to allow biological men into woman’s sports is unconscionable. If someone can’t figure out male and female, they shouldn’t be in government, they should be in a dedicated adult kindergarten.”
